the glory of arm knitting

I recently discovered arm knitting. What this means is that, instead of using knitting needles as anchors for the stitches, one uses arms for the anchors. It creates large stitches and requires very thick yarn (or 3-5 strands of thinner yarn). The result is a lot of quickly knit but very warm garments (especially scarves. Arm-knit scarves are easy).
